Cadillac to Revamp V-Series Performance Lineup

Cadillac is revamping its V-Series performance lineup with new models

The Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, ATS-V Sedan, and CTS-V Sedan are venerated members of the brand’s V-Series performance lineup, but they won’t be around for much longer. Cadillac recently confirmed plans that by spring of next year, both models will be gone for good. In their place, Cadillac is offering a fresh slate of V-Series performance vehicles, starting with the upcoming 2019 Cadillac CT6-V.

Broadening Horizons

“Starting in 2019, Cadillac will broaden the V-Series sub-brand and add high-performance variants across its portfolio — all with enhanced propulsion systems, chassis and brake systems,” said Cadillac spokesperson told CNet’s Roadshow. This will include the 550-horsepower 4.2-liter turbocharged V8 powering the CT6-V when it arrives this spring

What’s Next For Cadillac?

As to what broadening its lineup entails, Cadillac was mum. It’s fair to guess, however, that there will be V-Sport variants of the replacements for its current coupes and sedans, which are likely to carry the names CT3, CT4, and CT5. If we’re lucky, it might also mean a high-powered version of the new XT4 and XT5 crossovers, or even of the upcoming next-generation Escalade. Could you imagine?

In the meantime, Cadillac’s current ATS-V Coupe, ATS-V Sedan, and CTS-V Sedan are among the most impressive performance/luxury vehicles on the road today. To experience them in person, stop by Bentley Cadillac.

Cadillac Celebrates 20th Anniversary of the Escalade

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Escalade with the 2019 edition at Bentley CadillacEven with its century-plus-long history, one of Cadillac’s most iconic vehicles is undeniably the Escalade. Ever since its introduction at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 1998, it has been the definition of full-size luxury. Now, Cadillac is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Escalade by looking back on its history of innovating.

“Over the past 20 years, the Escalade has prevailed not only as a highly regarded full-size luxury SUV, but also as a cultural icon that is synonymous with style and sophistication,” said Steve Carlisle, Cadillac president. “From the highway to the big screen, the Escalade has been embraced by drivers and fans around the world.”

Two Decades of Dominance

The Escalade has been a dominating force in the luxury SUV segment over the past 20 years. In fact, it has led the segment in sales for 15 of the past 20 years. Since it was redesigned in 2015, consumers have spent nearly $3 billion every year on the Escalade.

One Step Ahead

In its 20-year history, the Escalade has introduced some industry-leading innovations including the first full LED headlamps in 2009, the first full-size SUV to offer Magnetic Ride Control in 2009, and the first front-center airbag in a luxury SUV in 2015.

The upcoming 2019 model offers a 65 percent improvement in horsepower and 52 percent better EPA-estimated highway fuel economy than the original 1999 model. To learn more about the latest Escalade, including when you can expect to test-drive it, stop into Bentley Cadillac.

Easy Summer Car Cleaning Tips

Use these summer car cleaning tips to keep your Cadillac on the road this season

Whether your kiddos are tracking in mud from the soccer field or your shiny black sedan just can’t seem to lose that constant sheen of dust on its paint job, it seems like there’s always something not quite right with your vehicle in the summertime. But have no fear: the car-care experts at Bentley Cadillac have a few foolproof tips for easy summer car cleaning.

Don’t wash your vehicle in the sun.

Yes, it might feel good to get sudsy in the sunshine while you’re cleaning your car this summer, but make sure you find a shady spot to scrub instead. Some soaps can leave unseemly stains and swirls on your paint job when they heat under the sun. Even if you’re cleaning in the shade, be sure to rinse promptly and never leave soap sitting.

Use white vinegar to attack dust on windows.

We all love to drive with our windows down on warm summer days, but that allows for a lot of dust to enter your cabin and stick to your windows, creating an ugly sheen. Use a simple white vinegar and warm water mixture to easily wipe away dust without leaving streaks.

Condition your delicate interior materials.

Direct sunlight and intense heat can do a number on the delicate materials inside your cabin, such as leather and vinyl. Invest in some material-specific conditioners and show your interior a lot of love this summer.

If you want a more professional touch, request full detailing services the next time you bring your vehicle into Bentley Cadillac for service.

First-Ever Cadillac Twin-Turbo V8 Engine Gives Peak Performance

The first-ever Cadillac twin-turbo V8 engine promises to upgrade performance

Cadillac has always been known for its combination of luxurious features and powerful performance. This reputation doesn’t look like it’s going to change any time soon, especially since the American premium carmaker has introduced the first-ever Cadillac twin-turbo V8 engine.

Improved Performance

With this new engine, Cadillac is expecting to elevate the new CT6 V-Sport model’s performance. The engine is a 4.2-liter that puts out an estimated 550 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The CT6 V-Sport will also have an option 500-horsepower version available.

“Cadillac’s performance technology reaches new heights with the new and exclusive 4.2-liter Twin Turbo V8,” said former Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen at the time of its reveal. “The engineering prowess embodies the very spirit of Cadillac performance on and off the racetrack.”

Efficient Design

Though this new engine uses a clean-sheet design, it also utilizes unique elements to create a balance between performance and efficiency. This includes a “hot V” configuration which allows the turbochargers at the top of the engine to help reduce turbo lack and reduce the engines size.

It has changed the way the intake-charged air enters the cylinder, allowing it to enter through the lower outside of the heads and exit through the top inside, therefore creating a more immediate power delivery.

Cadillac Convertible “Boat Car”

Joe Fox turned his Cadillac into a convertible boat, and even gives tours around the Florida Keys

Think you’ve seen the pink Cadillac convertible at its best? Captain Joe Fox is here to prove you wrong. His new pink Cadillac convertible is making a splash—literally.

Joe Fox is the captain of his car and his boat. Because his car is his boat. Now, before you get any ideas, Captain Fox’s ride isn’t actually a pink Cadillac convertible. He did, however, work tirelessly to create an exact Cadillac convertible replica in boat form, making it the very first Cadillac convertible “boat car”.

A History Of Innovation

Fox has been building boats since he was 12, so he certainly knew what he was doing in constructing the replica. Called the “Nautilimo” (Nautical + limousine), the “boat car” is constructed to look like a 1977 Cadillac stretch limo, complete with a faux grille, headlights, and wheels.

Cruise In Style

Fox cruises around in his Cadillac for both work and play. He owns a business called Unique Boat Tours, which lives up to its name. The Cadillac “boat car” can seat up to six passengers, who, during the tour, enjoy a stylish ride and the beautiful sights of the Florida Keys.

Captain Fox owns multiple unique boats, including a replica pirate ship. If you’re a car-lover and a Cadillac lover, you’ll probably want to reserve a ride on Captain Joe’s “Nautilimo.” And if you want the best in today’s land-lubbing Cadillacs, be sure to stop into Bentley Cadillac to see what we have to offer.
